CONDITIONAL SENTENCES

>Conditional Sentences are also known as Conditional Clauses or If Clauses. They are used to express that the action in the main clause (without if) can only take place if a certain condition (in the clause with if) is fulfilled.

>Function

Conditional Sentences are sentences used to express supposition of an event that has not happened, or even impossible.Conditionals has several forms that represent different forms of time,in other words,the form of conditional sentence will depend on the assumed form of the event.

1.Conditional Sentence Type 1

•Often called the "real" conditional because it is used for real or possible situations. These situations take place if a certain condition is met. It is possible and also very likely that the condition will be fulfilled.

Form:

If + Simple Present, + Simple Future

>Use

Conditional Sentences Type 1 refer to the future. An action in the future will only happen if a certain condition is fulfilled by that time. We don't know for sure whether the condition actually will be fulfilled or not, but the conditions seems rather realistic – so we think it is likely to happen

If in first sentences :

if + condition, result/consequence

if + simple present, (will + bare infinitive)/imperative

If in center senteces :

result/consequence + if + condition

(will + bare infinitive)/imperative + if + simple present

1.If it is not cloudy, I will go to school soon

2.If  Yogo replies my message, I will be very happy

3.if my friend is happy, I will meet him to tell the story

4.If you do not understand, I will explain it again

5.If he studies hard, he will pass the exam easily

6.If we love our friends, they will love us too

7.if I keep silent, you will not know what I mean

8.If she is sad, she will ask you to entertain her

9.If Wahid is close, I will suggest him to be patient

10.if they are the students, he will be their teacher

11.If someone looks at you, you will be nervous
